We wish to advise that the vessel containing our fresh supply of produce will arrive this morning, TUESDAY July 31, 2018. We anticipate having this product on display by 1:00 PM.
This week’s fresh fruits and vegetables will include Ginger, Cucumbers, Limes, Pear D’Anjou/Bartlett Pears, Cauliflower, Red Seedless Grapes, Baby Bella and Cello Mushrooms, Romain and Cello Lettuces, Bagged and Jumbo Onions, Red Onions, Oranges, Mangoes, Red Seedless Grapes, Yellow Corn, Blueberries, Bananas, Grapefruit, Green Cabbage, Carrots, Broccoli, Pineapples, Honey Dew Melons, Celery, Cantaloupe, Cherry and Pink Large Tomatoes, Spinach, Zucchini, Jumbo Sweet Potatoes, Red Potatoes, Idaho Baking Potatoes, Waxed Yucca (Cassava) and various Apples.
After a hot day of BBQing, you may want something light and cool to quench your thirst and satisfy your sweet tooth. You don’t need an ice cream maker to make and enjoy the fresh tasting icy fruit sorbet. Perfect for summer as it is not packed with calories. Choose your favorite ripe fruit, cut into small chunks and place in a Cuisinart or blender and add 1T fresh lemon juice. Blend into a smooth paste. Add 3-4 T maple syrup or sugar syrup. Combine. Freeze for 4 hours and serve. You can make it from frozen fruits using the same recipe and serve immediately. When blending, short bursts are better as it won’t melt the frozen fruit. Enjoy!
