Granola is a wonderful addition to yogurts, cookies, or just making a granola bar. It’s packed with vitamins and minerals and so easy to make. Lightly toast 2 1⁄2 cups of old fashioned oats and 1⁄2 cup chopped nuts at 350 degrees for about 5-8 minutes. Cool and place in a bowl. Combine 1⁄4 c butter, 1⁄4 c honey and 1⁄4 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp vanilla and 1⁄4 tsp salt over low heat and blend until melted. Pour over oat/nut mixture and add 2/3 cup of any mixed dried fruits, shredded coconut, sunflower seeds or whatever you want. Mix until well-combined and press into a lightly greased pan. Chill 2 hours, cut and serve. So easy to make and so nutritious to eat. The internet also has many recipes for granola.
